Geographical Location

During the first years of its operation, the company operated in leased premises near the Industrial Area of Preveza.

In 2009, the company acquired its own premises within the Industrial Area of Preveza, on a plot of 8 acres with a building of 1600 square meters.

The area of IL MONDO’s premises belongs administratively to the Regional Unit of Preveza and, more specifically, to the Municipality of Preveza.

The premises are located northwest of the city of Preveza, approximately 5 kilometers from the city center.

Administrative Subordination

The Regional Unit of Preveza is part of the Region of Epirus and occupies its southwestern part.

It has an area of 1,036 square kilometers.

It borders to the north with the Regional Units of Ioannina and Thesprotia, to the east and southeast with the Regional Unit of Arta, while to the west it is bordered by the Ionian Sea and to the south by the Amvrakikos Gulf.

It occupies 11.3% of the area of the Region of Epirus and 0.8% of the country.

It is the smallest continental regional unit in Greece.

LICENSING OF CENTRAL FACILITIES

  • Approval decision on environmental terms of the activity “Packaging – Cooling – Freezing Unit for Catches” with a total installed power of 262.90 KW and storage volume of 2,706 cubic meters (1,683 cubic meters with cooling – freezing), according to Decision No. ΔΑ/Φ.Π.93/οικ. 998/22-09-2009
  • Decision to grant an operating license for an indefinite period of time for the modernization (mechanical) and expansion (mechanical and building) of the Packaging – Cooling – Freezing Unit for Catches with a total capacity of 3,000 tons per year, according to Decision No. ΔΑ/Φ14.691/04-12-2014

DESCRIPTION OF CENTRAL FACILITIES
In detail, the facilities consist of the following areas:

  • A goods receiving area
  • Unpacking and repackaging area for goods
  • Temporary storage area for incoming products
  • Product packaging area
  • Deep freezing aisles
  • Refrigerated storage for goods
  • Freezer refrigerators for frozen goods
  • Ice making machines

Wholesale Facilities:

  1. Cold storage – distribution center at the 6th kilometer of Ioannina – Athens National Road, in Ioannina.

Aquaculture Facilities:

  1. Fish farming unit in the location of Palionisi, in Paliampela, Aetolia-Acarnania.
  2. Fish farming unit in the location of Chaliki, in Paliampela, Aetolia-Acarnania.

Retail Facilities:

  1. Fish shop – Restaurant in the city of Preveza (10 Spiliadou Street).
  2. Fish shop – Restaurant in the city of Agrinio (1 Panagopoulou Square).
