Approvals of facilities

IL MONDO’s facilities are approved by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.

It has received approval number 41.S.158, which corresponds to the possibility of setting up a standardisation-packaging, chilling-freezing and freezing facility for fish, by virtue of Order No 354121, dated 21-01-2010 (this refers to the central facilities).

It has received veterinary approval number 41.KN.182 for the addition of a production process, by virtue of Order No 2242/79637, dated 28-07-2015 (this refers to the central facilities).

It has received the registration number 33AF4 for the storage and distribution of fresh fish, by virtue of Order No 645, dated 26-01-2016 (this refers to the facilities of the branch in Ioannina).

Installation Certifications

The company is certified for the packaging, chilling, freezing, retail sale, marketing, and distribution of fish.

It has developed and implements a Food Safety Management System, which complies with the requirements of the International Standard ELOT EN ISO 22000:2018. The certification was attested by the accredited third-party inspection and certification of QMSCERT S.A.
management systems.

The company is subject to regular supervisory inspections by the organization (on an annual basis) in order to validate the correct and successful implementation of the defined practices – actions of the management system.

The certification is of categories CI, FI, and the certificate number is 220222-1.
